Grand Canyon National Park Hiking
Tourists should pay attention to the hiking specialty at Grand Canyon. Contrast to most other trails in other National Parks, you hike down first, then come back up later at Grand Canyon trails. This reverse procedure makes a big difference in Grand Canyon hiking. Because it is easier to go down the trail first, most hikers will lost track how far they should go down. They only realize that they went down too far after they have been hiking back up for a while and exhausted. Hiking back up at Grand Canyon trails is much harder than going down, may be 4 times harder or more! Remember this. It takes about 3 times longer to hike back up than going down. So, if you plan to hike for total two hours round trip at Grand Canyon, you can only spend half a hour to go down a trail, then you need one hour and half to hike back up. Always bring enough water and snacks.
